PA Pat Alva-Kraker

Pat Alva-Kraker

Civic Engagement Vice President Accredited Investor · Private Lender · Real Estate Strategist

With over 15 years in the real estate industry, Pat Alva-Kraker knows firsthand what it takes to build wealth through smart investing. She started out owning rental properties, learning the ins and outs of asset management and cash flow. But real estate quickly became more than just an investment—it became a passion.

For the past 10 years, Pat and her husband, Mitch, have been private lenders, helping real estate investors get the funding they need to grow. As accredited investors, they focus on student housing and multifamily syndications, always on the lookout for opportunities that generate solid returns.

Beyond their own investments, Pat and Mitch love helping others step into private lending. They offer investment opportunities to those who want to get involved in real estate without the headaches of property management. Plus, when great syndication deals come their way, they share them with others looking to diversify and grow their wealth.

Pat believes real estate is one of the best paths to financial freedom, and she's passionate about connecting people with the right opportunities to make it happen.

CWCharli Walsh

Charli Walsh

Media Vice PresidentFounder, Ten Gallon Marketing · Texas REALTOR®, Epique Realty · Founder, AIME

Charli Walsh leads media for the Arlington branch. She makes sure the chamber, its members and its sponsors are seen and heard, and are presented the way they actually are. As founder of Ten Gallon Marketing, she helps small businesses build brands that sound like the people behind them, not like a template.

She’s also a licensed Texas REALTOR® with Epique Realty, where she works with renters, voucher holders and first-time buyers across DFW. Her approach is simple: the client comes before the commission, every time.

Charli founded AIME (Artificial Intelligence + Me), which teaches professionals to use AI in their own voice without losing themselves. She brings that same thinking to the chamber, using modern tools so members can spend less time on busywork and more time running their businesses.

She lives in Arlington, where she serves as Fundraising Chair for the Lillian Miller Elementary PTA. She believes a strong local business community is how a city takes care of its own.

Signature Monthly Event

Member Spotlight Series

Every Business Has a Story. Every Story Creates Opportunity.

Turning members into “revenue-generating referral partners.” Instead of a presentation or a sales pitch, each Spotlight is a professionally facilitated conversation that highlights the person behind the business — a blend of a fireside chat, a live podcast, and a business conversation.

Why this format works

Networking events let members exchange business cards, but they rarely let members truly understand one another's businesses, passions, and purpose. Referral opportunities get missed — not because members aren't willing to help, but because they don't fully know how.

People may forget statistics. They rarely forget stories. When members connect with the person behind the business, they understand the business itself. That understanding builds trust, trust builds relationships, and relationships create opportunities.

  • Story-driven rather than sales-driven.
  • Conversational rather than scripted.
  • Interactive rather than passive.
  • Educational rather than promotional.
  • Relationship-focused rather than transactional.

How the evening runs

  1. Welcome & NetworkingGuests arrive, connect with fellow members, and enjoy informal networking before the program begins.
  2. The Spotlight ConversationThe featured member joins the host for a guided conversation — their journey, their inspiration, what makes the business unique, their ideal customer, and how members can best refer them.
  3. Audience ConversationMembers ask thoughtful questions, creating authentic dialogue and meaningful interaction.
  4. The Connection Challenge“Who do I know that could benefit from meeting today's featured member?” — the moment that shifts networking into relationship-building.
  5. Continued NetworkingDedicated time to continue conversations and build on the connections sparked during the Spotlight.
